SI 2023/118. The Climate Change (Targeted Greenhouse Gases) Order 2023. Comes into force 3rd February.  These Regulations amend A 2008 c.27 The Climate Change Act 2008 by adding the gas nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) to the table in  section 25(1) and the meaning of “greenhouse gas” in section 92(1).

SI 2023/127

SI 2023/127. The Feed-in Tariffs (Amendment) Order 2023. Comes into force 1st April. This Order amends the definition of “relevant amount of electricity” in SI 2012/2782 The Feed-in Tariffs Order 2012, so that the capped amount of qualifying renewable electricity supplied in a FIT year is no longer excluded from the Authority’s determination of the licensee’s market share in that FIT year.

Republic of Ireland RI 2023/29

RI 2023/29. European Union (Basic Safety Standards for Protection Against Dangers Arising From Medical Exposure To Ionising Radiation) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.  Comes into force 1st February. These Regulations amend RI 2018/256 Basic Safety Standards for Protection Against Dangers Arising from Medical Exposure to Ionising Radiation) Regulations 2018 to take account of the 2016 and 2019 Corrigendums to EU Council Directive 2013/59/EURATOM of 5 December 2013. The principal amendment covers the establishing, recognising and monitoring of ethics committees (new Part 8).

SSI 2023/35

SSI 2023/35. The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development and Use Classes) (Scotland) Miscellaneous Amendment Order 2023.  Comes into force 31st March. This Order amends the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (Scotland) Order 1992 and the Town and Country Planning (Use Classes) (Scotland) Order 1997.  Permitted developments include outdoor serveries, solar canopies, battery storage and equipment housing for recharging vehicles. Also covered are developments associated with docks, piers, harbours, water transport, canals or inland navigation undertakings.
