SI 2020/500.  The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2020.  Coming into force 13th May. These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 (SI 2020/350). Regulation 5 is amended to clarify the circumstances in which hotels may provide accommodation to “key workers”. Regulation 6 is amended to increase the range and types of exercise permitted. Garden centres and outdoor sports courts are added to the list of businesses which may remain open by an amendment to Schedule 2.

SI 2020/505. The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure, Listed Buildings and Environmental Impact Assessment) (England) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020. Coming into force on 14th May.  Makes amendments to take account of the impact of COVID-19 to:

SI 2020/501.  The Merchant Shipping (Life-Saving Appliances and Arrangements) Regulations 2020. Coming into force 9th June. The Regulations revoke and replace the Merchant Shipping (Life-Saving Appliances For Ships Other Than Ships Of Classes III To VI(A)) Regulations 1999 (SI 1999/2721) and They also amend the Merchant Shipping (Musters, Training and Decision Supports Systems) Regulations 1999 (SI 1999/2722) and the Merchant Shipping (Entry into Dangerous Spaces) Regulations 1988 (SI 1988/1638).

These Regulations implement amendments to Chapter III of the Annex to the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea. They also make provision for life-saving appliances and arrangements in respect of ships to which the Convention does not apply.

SI 2020/558.  The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) (Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations 2020. Coming into force 1st June. These Regulations further amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (England) Regulations 2020 (SI 2020/350).  Amendments permit the training of elite athletes. They clarify that places of worship and community centres may be used to provide early years childcare.  They add a prohibition on staying overnight in a place other than where a person lives, without reasonable excuse and they include a more detailed provision on prohibited gatherings.
