SI 2021/1420.  The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations (Amendment) Order 2021.  Comes into force 1st January 2022.  These Regulations amend SI 2007/ The Renewable Transport Fuel Obligations Order 2007/3072.  Amendments include the inclusion of a definition of “forest criteria” and the adding of maritime renewable fuel of non-biological origin as a type of fuel. The amendment also increases the renewable fuel targets imposed on fuel suppliers.

SI 2021/1401. The Merchant Shipping (Polar Code) (Safety) Regulations 2021.  Comes into force 6th January 2022. These Regulations implement the requirements of Chapter XIV in the Annex to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974, which incorporates the safety related requirements for ships in the International Code for Ships Operating in Polar Waters

SI 2021/1392. The Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) (No. 2) Regulations 2021.  Comes into force 15th June 2022. These Regulations amend SI 2010/2214 The Building Regulations 2010 by adding a requirement that a new residential building with associated parking shall be provided with Infrastructure for the charging of electric vehicles

SI 2021/1391. The Building Regulations etc. (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2021. Comes into force 15th June 2022. These Regulations amend SI 2010/2214 The Building Regulations 2010. The amendments made by these Regulations provide for a new metric for the measurement of energy efficiency in the form of the target primary energy rate and introduce new regulation for on-site electricity generation.
