SI 2022/41. The Merchant Shipping (High Speed Offshore Service Craft) Regulations 2022. Comes into force 9th February.  These Regulations make provision about standards for high speed offshore service craft (HSOSC).  The Regulations also amend  SI 2015/508 the Merchant Shipping (Survey and Certification) Regulations 2015 to provide for survey and certification for United Kingdom High Speed Offshore Service Craft.

SI 2022/59. The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2022.  These regulations amend SI 1986/1078 The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986.  Comes into force 14th February.  Certain vehicles on the roads in Great Britain may utilise elongated cabs and rear aerodynamic devices and equipment which improve aerodynamic performance, CO2 emissions, fuel consumption and driver vision.

SI 2022/62. The Carbon Accounting (Provision for 2020) Regulations 2022. Comes into force 15th February.  These Regulations make provision for carbon accounting in respect of 2020 for the purposes of Part 1 of the Climate Change Act 2008 (A 2009 c. 27). They form part of the rules for determining the net UK carbon account, defined in section 27(1) of the Act.

SI 2022/81. The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2022.  Comes into force 25th March.  This regulation amends The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 (SI 1986/1078) by widening the scope of the offence in Regulation 110 to include any use of a mobile telephone or interactive communication device held in the hand whilst driving.
