SI 2022/278. The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) (Amendment) Order 2022. Comes into force 4th April.  This Order amends Class A (electronic communications code operators) of Part 16 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015. SI 2015/596.

SI 2022/347. The Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2022. Comes into force 11th April.  These Regulations amend SI 2002/2443 the Genetically Modified Organisms (Deliberate Release) Regulations 2002. The amendments are with respect to “qualifying higher plants” which are genetically modified organisms but have not been genetically modified other than to make modifications which (a) could have occurred naturally, or (b) could have been made using one or more of the techniques set out in Regulation 5.

SI 2022/361.  The Value Added Tax (Installation of Energy-Saving Materials) Order 2022.  Comes into force 1st April.  This Order sets a zero rate of VAT for energy-saving materials.  This remains in force until 31st March 2027.

EU 2022/477. Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/477 amending Annexes VI to X to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH). Comes into force 14 October 2022. Annex VI sets out information requirements. Annexes VII to X set out standard information requirements for substances manufactured or imported in quantities of 1 tonne or more, 10 tonnes or more, 100 tonnes or more and 1 000 tonnes or more.
