SI 2023/1099.   The Misuse of Drugs (England and Wales and Scotland) (Amendment) Regulations 2023.  Comes into force 8th November. Amends the Misuse of Drugs Regulations 2001 (SI 2001/3998) to place nitrous oxide, and preparations or products containing nitrous oxide, in Schedule 5 and to make provision for lawful access to the substance for legitimate purposes, including medical use.

SI 2023/1110. The Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) (Amendment) Order 2023.  Comes into force 25th October. This Order amends Part 4 of Schedule 2 to the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (SI 2015/596). Class CB covers the provision of temporary buildings on school land for a period of three years where one or more of the school’s buildings have been vacated due to the presence of reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete

SI 2023/1143. The Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023 (Revocation and Sunset Disapplication) Regulations 2023.  Comes into force 26th October.   Subordinate and retained direct EU legislation listed in Schedule 1 will no longer be revoked on 31st December.  Schedule 2 adds additional subordinate and retained direct EU legislation which will be revoked on that date. It should be noted that none of the items of legislation listed in our October news letter are included in Schedule 1.  There are no items of legislation in Schedule 2 relevant to Simplifi’s data base.

SR 2023/183. The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2023. Comes into force 1st January 2024.  Amends the recycling target levels in Schedule 2 of The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 (SR 2007/198).
