SI 2024/332. The Infrastructure Planning (Miscellaneous Provisions) Regulations 2024. Comes into force 30th April.    These Regulations amend Infrastructure Planning (Applications: Prescribed Forms and Procedure) Regulations 2009 (SI 2009/2264).  The amendment replaces the table in Schedule 1.

EU 2024/590. EU Regulation on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer.  Legislation published 7th February This Regulation lays down rules on the production, import, export, placing on the market, storage and subsequent supply of ozone-depleting substances, as well as on their use, recovery, recycling, reclamation and destruction. This Regulation also repeals Regulation (EC) No 1005/2009.

SI 2024/280. The Merchant Shipping (Special Measures to Enhance Maritime Safety) Regulations 2024. Comes into force 2nd April. These Regulations implement provisions of Chapter XI-1 (special measures to enhance maritime safety) in the Annex to the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974 which are not already implemented in other United Kingdom legislation. Aspects covered include ship identification numbers, company and registered owner identification numbers and Continuous Synopsis Records. These Regulations also amend the Merchant Shipping (Survey and Certification) Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/508).

SI 2024/359. The Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (England) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.  Comes into force 1st April.   These Regulations amend the Packaging Waste (Data Reporting) (England) Regulations 2023 (SI 2023/219) to revise the definition of “household packaging”,  clarify the division of responsibilities, to require the Environment Agency to publish a list of large producers, and to make other amendments.
