SI 2016/654. The British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre Byelaws 2016. Comes into force 29th June. These Byelaws regulate access to and activities which may be carried out in areas of land, foreshore and sea in the British Underwater Test and Evaluation Centre (“BUTEC”). The Centre comprises the BUTEC Base Area at the Kyle of Lochalsh and the BUTEC Sea Ranges, between the isle of Raasay and Applecross on the mainland.

EU 2016/1005. Commission Regulation amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as regards asbestos fibres (chrysotile). Comes into force 18th July. The ban on the use of diaphragms containing chrysotile for electrolysis installation shall not apply until 1st July 2025 provided that such use is carried out in compliance with the conditions of a permit set in accordance with Directive 2010/75/EU.

SI 2016/660. The Energy Efficiency (Private Rented Property) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2016. Comes into force 21st June. Makes very minor amendments to Regulation 1 of SI 2015/962.

WSI 2016/664. The Food Information (Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2016. Comes into force 20th July. These Regulations amend the Food Information (Wales) Regulations 2014 (SI 2014/2303).
