RI 2023/104. Waste Management (Collection Permit) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2023. These Regulations revoke RI 2023/63. Waste Management (Collection Permit) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and amend RI 2007/820 Waste Management (Collection Permit) Regulations 2007. Comes into force 7th March. The principal amendments are the introduction of incentivised charging for commercial customers, the provision of specified waste bins to all commercial customers, the weighing of each collection of commercial waste and the inclusion of soft plastics on the list of recyclable materials.

SI 2023/315. The Building Safety (Registration of Higher-Risk Buildings and Review of Decisions) (England) Regulations 2023.  Comes into force 6th April. These Regulations cover the register of higher-risk buildings held by the building safety regulator.

SI 2023/336. The Ozone-Depleting Substances (Grant of Halon Derogations) Regulations 2023. Comes into force 6th April.  These Regulations grant a specific derogation from the current arrangements relating to critical uses of a controlled substance, halon 1211, in the Airseeker Rivet Joint (RJ) RC-135W.

SI 2023/341. The Environment (Local Nature Recovery Strategies) (Procedure) Regulations 2023. Comes into force 13th April. The Environment Act 2021 (A 2021 c.30)requires responsible authorities in England to prepare and publish local nature recovery strategies. These Regulations make provision in relation to the preparation of local nature recovery strategies. In particular, they make provision about the procedure to be followed in their preparation and publication, and review and republication.
