EU 2016/1017. Commission Regulation amending Annex XVII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as inorganic ammonium salts. Comes into force 20th July. Inorganic ammonium salts shall not be placed on the market, or used, in cellulose insulation mixtures or cellulose insulation articles after 14 July 2018 unless the emission of ammonia from those mixtures or articles results in a concentration of less than 3 ppm by volume (2,12 mg/m3).

SI 2016/673. The Offshore Installations (Safety Zones) (No. 3) Order 2016. Comes into force 28th June. Entries relating to two installations in Part 2 of the Schedule to the Offshore Installations (Safety Zones) Order 2016(SI 2016/309), are removed. These are; (a)Crathes Production Well, Block 21/13a, Crathes Field; and (b)Scolty Production Well, Block 21/8a, Scolty Field.

The Waste (Meaning of Recovery) (Miscellaneous Amendments) (Wales) Regulations 2016. Comes into force 31st July 2016. Makes minor amendments to the interpretation sections of five regulations. These are; • Landfill Allowances Scheme (Wales) Regulations 2004 (WSI 2004/1490), • Hazardous Waste (Wales) Regulations 2005 (WSI 2005/1806), • Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 (SI 2010/ 675). • The Waste (England and Wales) Regulations 2011 (SI 2011/988) • Recycling, Preparation for Re-use and Composting Targets (Monitoring and Penalties) (Wales) Regulations 2011 (WSI 2011/1014).

SR 2016/266. The Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016. Comes into force 1st August. These Regulations implement, as respects Northern Ireland, Directive 2013/35/EU on the minimum health and safety requirements regarding the exposure of workers to the risks arising from physical agents (electromagnetic fields). The corresponding Regulations for the rest of the UK are the Control of Electromagnetic Fields at Work Regulations 2016 (SI 2016/588).
