SI 2024/190. The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) Order 2024.  Comes into force 20th March. This Order adds fifteen synthetic opioids to Schedule 2 to the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.

SSI 2024/60. The Scottish Landfill Tax (Standard Rate and Lower Rate) Order 2024.  Comes into force 1st April. This Order specifies the standard rate and lower rate for Scottish landfill tax for disposals on or after 1 April 2024. The standard rate is £103.70 and the lower rate is £3.30.

SI 2024/240. The Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) (Payment of Claims) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.  Comes into force 1st April.    These Regulations amend the Pneumoconiosis etc. (Workers’ Compensation) (Payment of Claims) Regulations 1988 (SI 1988/668) The amendments increase the amounts payable by 6.7 per cent rounded up or down to the nearest £1 as appropriate.

SI 2024/237. The Mesothelioma Lump Sum Payments (Conditions and Amounts) (Amendment) Regulations 2024.  Comes into force on 1st April. These Regulations amend the Mesothelioma Lump Sum Payments (Conditions and Amounts) Regulations 2008 (SI 2008/1963). The amendments increase the amounts payable by 6.7 per cent rounded up or down to the nearest £1 as appropriate.
