SSI 2016/88. The Wester Ross Marine Conservation Order 2016. Comes into force 23rd March. This Order furthers the stated conservation objectives for the Wester Ross MPA insofar as they relate to burrowed mud, circalittoral muddy sand communities, flame shell beds, kelp and seaweed communities on sublittoral sediment, maerl beds, maerl or coarse shell gravel with burrowing sea cucumbers and northern feather star aggregations on mixed substrata.

The Loch Sunart to the Sound of Jura Marine Conservation Order 2016. Comes into force 23rd March. This Order furthers the stated conservation objectives for the Loch Sunart to the Sound of Jura MPA insofar as they relate to common skate and protects the Firth of Lorn Special Area of Conservation (“Firth of Lorn SAC”) in respect of reefs.

The Emissions Performance Standard Monitoring and Enforcement Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016. Comes into force 15th March. These Regulations put in place the monitoring and enforcement arrangements for Northern Ireland as required by the Energy Act 2013 (c 32)
