The Assessment of Energy Performance of Non-domestic Buildings (Scotland) Regulations 2016. Coming into force 1st September. These Regulations make provision for the assessment of the energy performance of non-domestic buildings and of the emission of greenhouse gases from such buildings.

The Infrastructure Planning (Onshore Wind Generating Stations) Order 2016. Came into force 4th March. This Order amends the Planning Act 2008 (c. 29) such that no onshore generating stations which generate electricity from wind are to be consented under the regime specified in the Act, unless a specific saving provided for in this Order applies to the particular application for “development consent”.

The Offshore Installations (Safety Zones) Order 2016. Comes into force on 29th March. This Order establishes safety zones having a radius of 500 metres from the specified point around the five installations in UK waters.
