Revocations by the Retained EU Law (Revocation and Reform) Act 2023.

This Act passed into law on 29th June.  The Act revokes, on 31st December, some six hundred items of subordinate legislation and retained direct EU legislation, listed in Schedule 1. The following are listed on the Simplifi website.

SI 2023/1091

SI 2023/1091. The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 (Amendment) Order 2023.  Comes into force 8th November. Amends Schedule 2 of A 1971 c.38 by adding nitrous oxide to the list of Class C drugs.

Republic of Ireland RI 2023/488

RI 2023/488. Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) Rules 2023.  Rule published 10th October.  These Rules revoke and replace RI 1992/391 Merchant Shipping (Dangerous Goods) Rules 1992. These Rules implement Chapter VII of the Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea.  They cover the carriage and stowage of dangerous goods and the general duties of the shipowner, master and crew aboard the ship.
