The Town and Country Planning (Permission in Principle) Order 2017. Comes into force 15th April. This Order, which applies in England only, makes provisions in relation to permission in principle.
The Town and Country Planning (Brownfield Land Register) Regulations 2017. Comes into force 16th April. These Regulations place a duty on each local planning authority responsible for determining applications for housing development to prepare, maintain and publish a register of previously developed land (commonly known as “brownfield land”) which is suitable for residential development. The register must be in two parts.
Brownfield land will be entered in Part 1 where it:the land has an area of at least 0.25 hectares or is capable of supporting at least five dwellings; the land is suitable for residential development; the land is available for residential development; and residential development of the land is achievable.
Or Part 2 where it has also been allocated by the local planning authority for residential development following mandatory publicity) and consultation procedures.
Commission Regulation (EU 2017/542). A regulation to amend Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures by adding an Annex on harmonised information relating to emergency health response. Comes into force January 1st 2020.
