SSI 2020/387. The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Amendment (Scotland) Regulations 2020.  Comes into force 1st January 2021. These Regulations amend SSI 2007/ 871 The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations 2007. These Regulations replace the EU recovery and recycling targets with recycling targets on producers. They also vary recycling targets for paper, aluminium, steel and wood as well as the specific re-melt target for glass. The recycling allocation for small producers for 2018 to 2020 is changed for 2021 and 2022.

SI 2020/1313.  The Environment (Miscellaneous Amendments) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020.  Comes into force on IP day. Makes very minor amendments to SI 2010/1001 Air Quality Standards Regulations 2010; change of date by which limit value for PM2.5 is to be met, to SI 2018/129 National Emission Ceilings Regulations 2018; for “49%” substitute “46%”and to SI 2019/758 The REACH etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019; change from “Exit Day” to “IP completion day”.

SI 2020/1222. The Merchant Shipping (Safety Standards for Passenger Ships on Domestic Voyages) (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 1st January 2021.  These Regulations amend SI 2000/2687 The Merchant Shipping (Passenger Ships on Domestic Voyages) Regulations 2000 and SI 2004/302 Merchant Shipping (High Speed Craft) Regulations 2004 to implement Directive (EU) 2017/2108 on safety rules and standards for passenger ships.
