SI 2020/958. The Climate Change Agreements (Administration and Eligible Facilities) (Amendment) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 1st October. This regulation amends the Climate Change Agreements (Administration) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/1976) to provide for a new target period from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2022. It also amends the terms to be included in an underlying agreement relating to the buy-out fee, and amends the formulas to provide that any surplus will not be taken into account in calculating the buy-out fee for the new target period. Finally it inserts a power for the administrator to vary a climate change agreements.

SI 2020/882.  The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings in a Relevant Place) (England) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2020.  Further amends SI 2020/791. Comes into force 22nd August.  The amendment adds further places which are a “relevant place” where members of the public are required to wear face coverings. These Regulations also remove some existing exemptions from the definition of “shop”.

SI 2020/855. The Offshore Chemicals and Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.  Comes into force on September 5th and applies for not more than twelve months.  A temporary amendment is made to the Offshore Chemicals Regulations 2002 (SI 2002/1355) and to the Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations 2005 (SI 2005/2055) covering the public inspection of documentation.
