SI 2020/632.  The Town and Country Planning (Permitted Development and Miscellaneous Amendments) (England) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 1st August.  These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015 (SI 2015/596).  The definitions of “dwelling house” and “flat” are amended.  Other amendments cover longer periods of determination, changes to fees, the meaning of “enlargement”, rights which cannot be used by a “dwelling house”, natural light, the submission of detailed floor plans and the conversion of exiting dwellings into flats.  Part 20 has been added to of Schedule 2 to introduce a new permitted development right, Class A, allowing for the construction of additional “dwelling houses”.

WSI 2020/594. The Waste (Prescribed Enactments) (Wales) Regulations 2020. Coming into force 9th July. These Regulations prescribe various enactments for the purposes of section 57(6) of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. These include:

SI 2020/589. The Water Industry (Specified Infrastructure Projects) (English Undertakers) (Amendment) Regulations 2020.  Comes into force 13th June.  These Regulations amend the Water Industry (Specified Infrastructure Projects) (English Undertakers) Regulations 2013 (SI 2013/1582). These Regulations omit the “sunsetting” provision at regulation 1(2) to (4) of SI 2013/1582.
