SI 2022/622.  The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (Amendment) Regulations 2022.  Comes into force 1st July.  This regulation amends SI 2012/3032 The Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012 by adding three new exemptions from the restriction on placing electrical and electronic equipment that contains certain hazardous substances on the market. The exemptions concern the application of Bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) in certain types of medical devices.

SI 2022/629.  The Merchant Shipping (Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments) Order 2022.  Comes into force 30th June.  This Order empowers The  Secretary of State to make regulations to give effect to the International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast Water and Sediments, 2004.

EU 2022/839.  EU Regulation laying down transitional rules for the packaging and labelling of veterinary medicinal products.  Comes into force 30th May. This Regulation provide for transitional rules for the packaging and labelling of veterinary medicinal products authorised or registered in accordance with either Directive 2001/82/EC or Regulation (EC) No 726/2004 to ensure the continued availability of those veterinary medicinal products in the Union and to establish legal certainty.
