SI 2021/812. The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution from Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk and Prevention of Oil Pollution) (Amendment) Regulations 2021 Comes into force 3rd August.  This regulation amends SI 2018/68 The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Pollution from Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk) Regulations 2018, principally changes to definitions and to the requirements on offshore support vessels, and SI 2019/42 The Merchant Shipping (Prevention of Oil Pollution) Regulations 2019, oil reference book.

RI 2021/296 Republic of Ireland

RI 2021/296. European Union (Port Reception Facilities for the Delivery of Waste from Ships) Regulations 2021. Published 29th June.  These Regulations give effect to Directive (EU) 2019/883 of 17 April 2019 on port reception facilities for the delivery of waste from ships with the aim to protect the marine environment against the negative effects from discharge of waste from ships using ports located in the State, while ensuring the smooth operation of maritime traffic, by improving the availability and use of adequate port reception facilities and the delivery of waste to those facilities.

SI 2021/758

SI 2021/758.  The Contracts for Difference (Miscellaneous Amendments) Regulations 2021.  Comes into force 25th June.  These Regulations amend SI 2014/2010; the Contracts for Difference (Definition of Eligible Generator) Regulations 2014, SI 2014/2013; the Electricity Market Reform (General) Regulations 2014 and SI 2014/2011; the Contracts for Difference (Allocation) Regulations 2014.  SI 2014/2010 is amended by removal of “biomass conversion station” from the list of eligible generators that can apply for a CFD. SI 2010/2013 is amended by the revision of the criteria that eligible generators must meet before their supply chain application or supply chain implementation application is approved. SI 2014/2011 is amended by revisions to the process of  the competitive allocation round.
