SI 2020/ 986. The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (England) (Amendment) (No. 4) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 14th September.  These Regulations amend the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (No. 2) (England) Regulations 2020, so that people may not participate in social gatherings, in any place, in groups of more than 6, unless they are members of the same household, two linked households, or exceptions apply.

SI 2020/971. The Environmental Protection (Plastic Straws, Cotton Buds and Stirrers) (England) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 1st October. These Regulations, which apply in relation to England, prohibit persons from supplying or offering to supply certain plastic items in the course of a business. Part 2 prohibits the supply of single-use plastic straws to an end user, subject to certain exceptions. Part 3 prohibits the supply of single-use plastic stemmed cotton buds to an end user, other than for medical, forensic or scientific purposes. Part 4 prohibits the supply of plastic drink stirrers.

SI 2020/958. The Climate Change Agreements (Administration and Eligible Facilities) (Amendment) Regulations 2020. Comes into force 1st October. This regulation amends the Climate Change Agreements (Administration) Regulations 2012 (SI 2012/1976) to provide for a new target period from 1st January 2021 to 31st December 2022. It also amends the terms to be included in an underlying agreement relating to the buy-out fee, and amends the formulas to provide that any surplus will not be taken into account in calculating the buy-out fee for the new target period. Finally it inserts a power for the administrator to vary a climate change agreements.
