RI 2021/106.  European Union (Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) (Amendment) Regulations 2021. Regulation published 9th March. These Regulations are made to give effect to the provisions of Commission Delegated Directives (EU) 2020/360, (EU) 2020/361, (EU) 2020/365 and (EU) 2020/366  amending, the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

RI 2021/96   European Union (Ecodesign Requirements for Certain Energy-related Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2021.  Regulation published 5th March.  These Regulations amend the EU (Ecodesign Requirements for Certain Energy-related Products) (Amendment) Regulations 2013 (S.I. No. 454 of 2013). The Schedule expands the list of products and introduces the associated EU measures and allows for their enforcement. It revokes a number of existing EU measures and amends others. The Regulations oblige manufacturers, their authorised representatives or, in their absence, an importer of a product listed in the Schedule, not to place the said product on the market or put it into service if it does not conform to the applicable EU measure.
