SI 2016/573 has been given a new reference number on the gov.uk website.

 

The Private Water Supplies (England) Regulations 2016. Comes into force 20th June. They revoke and replace the Private Water Supplies Regulations 2009 (SI 2009/3101). These Regulations apply to private supplies of water intended for human consumption.

SI 2016/614

The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016. Comes into force 26th June. These Regulations supplement Chapter III of the Water Industry Act 1991 (c.56) (water supply). They revoke and replace the Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2000 (S.I. 2000/3184).

They are primarily concerned with the quality of water supplied in England by water undertakers and licensed water suppliers for domestic or food production purposes and with arrangements for the publication of information about water quality.

Commission Regulation amending Annexes VII and VIII to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) as regards skin corrosion/irritation, serious eye damage/eye irritation and acute toxicity. Comes into force 20th June. The amendment sets the standard information requirement to be in vitro studies but also defines the conditions under which an in vivo study for skin irritation/corrosion and serious eye damage/eye irritation is still required
