In our May newsletter we bring to your attention one new Statutory Instrument concerned with building safety, one new EU Regulation concerned with general product safety and amendments to UK, Scottish and Republic of Ireland legislation (two).  HMRC are consulting on amendments to tax on plastic packaging.  There are items of news from the Environment Agency – Low Risk Waste Positions, The Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency – extension of  CE Markings to July 2025 and HSE – high concentrations of hydrogen sulphide (H₂S) in ullage spaces of cargo and slop tanks.
