SI 2021/1397. The Ozone-Depleting Substances (Grant of Halon Derogations) Regulations 2021. Comes into force 31^st December.  These Regulations provide for specific derogations from the current arrangements relating to critical uses of a controlled substance, halon 1301, in Regulation (EC) 1005/2009.  The critical use is for engine nacelle fire suppression systems and auxiliary power unit fire suppression system for two specified types of aircraft. The cut-off date in row 4.3 of the table in Annex VI does not apply in relation to the use of halon 1301.
