SI 2021/1370. The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment (Amendment) (EU Exit) Regulations 2021. Comes into force 1^st January 2023. The Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2009 (SI 2009/1348) were amended as part of the BREXIT process to institute a dual system of conformity assessments for transportable pressure equipment (TPE) placed on the GB market after IP day. The dual system, under which EU conformity assessed TPE continued to be accepted on the GB market, has not been reciprocated. This SI, therefore, brings the dual system to an end. From 1^st Jan 2023 the only TPE which may be placed on the GB market is UK TPE, or TPE which complies with Part 4 of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods and Use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010.  This regulation therefore Regulations 2 and 19A  of SI 2009/1348.
