July 2024 newsletter
We have nothing to report on new or amended UK legislation for July. For The Republic of Ireland, we have an amendment to legislation covering hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. For the EU, we have amendments to two items of legislation on ecodesign. No new consultations were raised during the period in question. We list one prosecution of note. We also have a report on an American rail accident which raises some interesting points on response to disasters.
Simplifi has extended its list of legislation to include that covering ISO/IEC 27001, the international standard for management of information security. The Register of Legislation, has been attached to the question “Are you accredited or working for accreditation to ISO 27001”
