SI 2022/1218. The Merchant Shipping (Additional Safety Measures for Bulk Carriers) Regulations 2022.  Comes into force 20^th December. These Regulations revoke and replace SI 1999/1644 The Merchant Shipping (Additional Safety Measures for Bulk Carriers) Regulations 1999, as amended.  These Regulations implement amendments to Chapter XII of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, they make provision for surveys and add requirements to improve the safety and security of such ships.
