ECHA adds four new substances to Candidate List for authorisation

The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) has added four new substances of very high concern (SVHCs) to the Candidate List for authorisation which now contains one hundred and seventy-three substances.  The substances in question are:

  • CAS No 80-05-7; 4,4’-isopropylidenediphenol (bisphenol A; BPA); Toxic for reproduction
  • CAS Nos 335-76-2, 3830-45-3 and 3108-42-7; Nonadecafluorodecanoic acid (PFDA) and its sodium and ammonium salts; Toxic for reproduction
  • CAS No 80-46-6; p-(1,1-dimethylpropyl)phenol; impact on the environment.
  • 4-heptylphenol, branched and linear; impact on the environment.
