DEFRA publishes plan for Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs published, on 3rd February, a plan to reduce and minimise the impacts of harmful PFAS (Per- and poly-fluoroalkyl substances) on public health and the environment. The news release states “We will strengthen understanding and awareness, tackle the sources of PFAS and how they move through the environment, and reduce ongoing exposure to the PFAS that are already out there. We will work in partnership across the UK, with devolved governments, industry, scientists, environmental groups and local communities”. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/pfas-plan/pfas-plan-building-a-safer-future-together
