DEFRA consults on GM regualtion

DEFRA is consulting on the regulation of genetic technologies.  They are seeking views on the regulation of organisms (other than humans) produced using genetic technologies such as gene editing. Of specific interest is whether organisms, which could have been produced using traditional breeding methods, should be regulated as genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
