December 2025 newsletter

In our newsletter for December 2025, we present a new Act of Parliament covering planning.  We also present six new UK Regulations on merchant shipping, building safety, safeguarding, ozone depletion and human medicines. There are amendments to UK legislation on the control of mercury a and product safety. For the Republic of Ireland there are amendments to legislation on noise emissions and pressure vessels. For the EU there is legislation on contaminated land, plastic pellets and toys.

Consultations have been published on the site condition report, emissions from maritime transport trading, storage of carbon dioxide and the use of CE markings.

HSE are running a campaign to raise awareness of the serious and potentially fatal risks are posed by rough sleepers.

There are five prosecutions of note.
