The Department for Transport is consulting on amendments to the Merchant Shipping (Watercraft) Order 2023. (SI 2023/35). Consultation published on 3rd February and closes on 3rd March. https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/amending-legislation-ensuring-watercraft-accidents-are-investigated-by-maib The amendment ensures that accidents involving watercraft (any recreational vessel with a motor installed such as a personal watercraft) are investigated by the MAIB (Marine Accident Investigation Branch).
