We are pleased to inform you, that we have introduced additional options within the legislation compliance area. Clicking the new “Register Options” button on the legal register homepage will provide you with the ability to choose which compliance scoring options you wish to utilise or hide.  This will provide you with the facility to tailor the compliance scoring area to your organisation’s specific requirements.

In our November newsletter we report on new legislation covering energy storage and health, COVID-19, protection.  We also note amendments to energy, environmental and health protection, merchant shipping and waste legislation.  We respond to a question about the revocation n of the CHIP (SI 2009/716) Regulations. Other aspects we hope you may find to be of interest include a review of the concept of competence and a note on changes to conformity assessments following Brexit.  There are three new consultations and a prosecution.

December 2020 news letter

We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new country section, covering health, safety and environmental legislation, for the Republic of Ireland. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you require more information.

In our last newsletter of 2020, we report on new legislation covering conservation and protection to the environment, health and plants. We also cover amendments to legislation on dangerous substances, energy, environmental protection and waste. We have one new piece of Republic of Ireland (RoI) legislation. We provide progress reports on five pieces of legislation currently in Parliament. The HSE has published guidance on preparation for the end of The UK Transition Period, 1st January. We note a report by the Marine Accident Investigation Branch (MAIB) on a fatality in a confined space. There are two prosecutions of note.

January 2021 newsletter

In our January 2021 newsletter we report on the European Union (Future Relationship) Act 2020 and The Health and Safety and Nuclear (Fees) Regulations 2021.  We cover amendments to UK legislation with respect to conservation, dangerous substances and waste.  There is an amendment to a relevant Republic of Ireland legislation and another to an EU Regulation.  We review changes to the REACH Regulations resulting from BREXIT.  We chart the passage of relevant legislation through Parliament.

  Featured in the In the News section is guidance on action to be taken if fluorinated gas (F gas) exports from the UK are rejected at an EU border control post and on the RIDDOR reporting of COVID-19 incidents. There are two new consultations on regulation of genetic technologies and to changes of water management legislation.  There are two prosecutions of note.
