The objective of this survey is to consult stakeholders and citizens on the new renewable energy directive (REDII) for the period 2020-2030, foreseen before the end of 2016. The bioenergy sustainability policy, which will form part as well of the new renewable energy package, will be covered by a separate public consultation.

The European Chemical Agency (ECHA) is consulting the proposed authorisation of eleven substances. Consultation closes on 18th February 2016. The substances are: • Dihexyl phthalate and 1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, dihexyl ester, branched and linear (plasticiser in PVC); • HHPA and MHHPA (hardener for epoxy resins); • Trixylyl phosphate (in lubricants, hydraulic fluids and plastics production); • Two boron compounds: sodium perborate; perboric acid, sodium salt and sodium peroxometaborate (in detergents and bleaching products); • Four lead compounds: orange lead (lead tetroxide); lead monoxide (lead oxide); tetralead trioxide sulphate andpentalead tetraoxide sulphate (batteries and rubber production, in adsorbents)
